Golazo, Washington Youth Soccer, and the Think Taylor Foundation, are teaming up to help raise awareness of head injuries and concussions in soccer with a free event on Friday, October 19th at 7 pm. A special screening of Head Games, a critically-acclaimed film that exposes viewers to one of the leading public health issues of our time, head injuries and concussions, will be held at Golazo’s Seattle Headquarters (714 E Pike St). Taylor Twellman, 2005 MLS MVP & MLS Golden Boot Winner, ESPN Analyst, and founder of the Think Taylor Foundation, will be making a special appearance. Light refreshments will be served.
Inspired by events from the book Head Games, written by former Ivy League football star and WWE wrestler Christopher Nowinski, and featuring interviews with Nowinski, Bob Costas (NBC Sports), Keith Primeau (NHL All-Star), Cindy Parlow Cone (Olympic Gold Medalist, Women’s Soccer), the film was direct by Steve James, the award-winning director of Hoop Dreams. Check out the trailer below.
Don’t miss this great event! Admission is free & Head Games is rated PG-13. Please RSVP here!

I am a local doctor with specific emphasis of traumatic brain injury. Unlike most however I consider things from a functional perspective both from a baseline testing standpoint and from injury standpoint. I believe the present approach is flawed. Ignoring how well the brain is working is setting players up for subsequent injuries. Please contact me at david@myFASTbrain.com.
I’d love to come tonight but my daughter has a game at 7 pm. How long will things carry on? I’d like to stop by and have a word with Mr. Twellman. I may even be able to help him out in several ways both from health standpoint and foundation.
